Our Mission
The SBRC is the virtual technical assistance arm of National ACE. We provide training for AAPI small business owners to build capacity. We offer virtual training to help you market your business, Google tools for your business, access to capital, apply for grants, understand government funding opportunities, and network with business owners.

You’ve been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in ways that aren’t always visible to policymakers. By taking a 10-minute survey, you can help make clear how the pandemic has impacted you and small businesses like yours. The survey’s findings will help elected officials to develop economic recovery policies and programs to better serve Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. National ACE will share the results with legislators and policymakers. Your input is critical. The survey will take you about 10 minutes and your responses will be anonymous and confidential. You can take the survey anytime until March 18, 2022.

AAPI Businesses and Covid-19
We conducted the largest survey to date of business owners of color on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on their businesses. 893 AAPI small business owners responded to our national survey. Read the full results here.

Small businesses have been hard hit to date: 8 in 10 small business owners surveyed reported negative effects from the pandemic, more than half of respondents have experienced revenue declines of more than 25%, and 37% are not operating at full capacity, with an average of almost 10% closed.It’s going to get worse for business owners and their employees: ~10% of small business respondents expect to close permanently in next 6 months. 44% of employer businesses that responded have already shed jobs and 45% expect more job losses to come.
Small businesses need cash: As expected, most respondents want relief in the form of grants or another PPP loan. More than one-third of small businesses in the survey expect to borrow to address Covid-induced cash flow constraints, making it imperative to ensure liquidity in credit markets, especially for relatively small-dollar loans.
